This 2-day course led by Dr. Peter Malliaras, internationally recognised researcher and clinician specialising in tendinopathy, provides a clear and practical framework for assessing and managing the most common lower-limb tendon presentations.
Across both days, participants will explore diagnostic criteria, load-based rehabilitation strategies, stretch-shorten cycle considerations, and case-based reasoning.
The course combines science, clinical experience and hands-on work to help clinicians build robust, transferable frameworks for everyday practice.
Dr Peter Malliaras is an internationally recognised physiotherapist and researcher specialising in tendinopathy. An Associate Professor at Monash University (Australia), he has dedicated his career to advancing the understanding and treatment of tendon pain through clinical practice, research, and global teaching.
He has published extensively in the scientific literature and is regularly invited to speak at international conferences. Known for his ability to translate complex research into clear, practical, and structured clinical strategies, Dr Malliaras is considered a leading authority in tendon rehabilitation. His courses provide clinicians with evidence-based frameworks that can be immediately applied in practice.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Understand key concepts and contemporary models in tendinopathy.
Apply structured assessment and diagnostic frameworks for all major lower-limb tendons.
Build clear and progressive rehabilitation plans based on capacity testing and load progression.
Integrate education, communication and behavioural strategies into the management of tendinopathy.
Adapt stretch-shorten cycle progressions for different populations (athletes, general population, persistent pain cases).
Strengthen clinical reasoning through real case discussions and practical scenarios.
